The source of the river Isar

The source of the river Isar lies within the municipality of Scharnitz in Tyrol, surrounded by the mighty Karwendel mountain range. This river remains an important part of the culture and history of the Alpine region. The path to the source – also known as “Bei den Flüssen” (At the Rivers) – can be reached from Scharnitz on foot, by bike or e-bike.
